Nils has been working at Stryker in Venlo for a year and a half now. He works in the outbound department and is mainly engaged in picking and shipping (medical) goods. He is having a great time and likes to work with his colleagues.
In recent years he went to work by public transport, but since December 2019 the public transport timetable has been overhauled. This makes Stryker difficult to reach and Nils is forced to walk two kilometres to the bus stop. But he mainly works in the evening and it has become more difficult in overtime as he has to go home earlier.
Together with the employer and the jobcoach, they looked for a solution to this 'problem'. At first was thought of a scooter or electric bicycle, but Nils was not feeling comfortable of using eather of them. Ultimately, a folding bike could be the right solution. This way he could work longer and take the folding bike with him on the bus.
Stryker could not reimburse the bike, but thanks to the Power Certificate from Afa Dispensing, it is possible. It makes him super flexible, he can work his hours and is even more happy to travel to and from work.
