Mireille’s story

“I clean through two cleaning companies so I don't have to live on benefits. It's not a big deal, but better than nothing.

I usually cycle to all the cleaning addresses, but then I usually can't pick up my children from school. Sometimes I am forced to take the bus, which amounts to 15 Euro per week. I take care of my four children alone and have had a difficult time. I am happy with the opportunities I get here in the Netherlands, and you will therefore not easily hear me complain. Something is better than nothing is my motto.

The electric bicycle from Everyday Heroes has helped me enormously and I now cycle to work and school with a grin from ear to ear. This way I can continue to do my work and pick up the children from school on time.”
